Programme Manager: V&A

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role requires a dynamic individual who excels in demand management, strategic
partnership development, and project management for the V&A. The candidate should possess
strong analytical skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse partners, and
a proactive approach to identifying and securing opportunities. Additionally, they should be
adept at project planning, risk management, and delivering measurable outcomes through
effective coordination and innovative solutions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Demand Management / Facilitation

  • Manage and orchestrate the unlocking of demand.
  • Analyse client demand trends and help develop insights.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various and diverse partners.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping, intermediation and coordination.
  • Strategic partnership engagement and relationship management.
  • Conduct storytelling and advocacy for SAYouth.
  • Liaise with clients on new demand.
  • Identify, catalyse, grow and secure opportunities on SA Youth,
  • Support with identifying, scoping and implementing Make Your Own Money (MYOM)
    opportunities with new and existing partners.
  • Work closely with Demand Delivery team to ensure projects are executed timeously with
    accuracy.
  • Ensure that demand is accurately reflected on the relevant document/place as agreed upon from time to time.

Project Management

  • Support the implementation of the V&A initiatives.
  • Support programme / project design and diagnostic.
  • Creating and managing a project plan.
  • Identifying and pro-actively managing risks.
  • Delivery and management of agreed project goals and outcomes, including contracted
    milestones with partners.
  • Co-ordination and communication with all stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of project deliverables on an ongoing basis and taking corrective measures or making changes where necessary.
  • Innovative project management through analysing demand trends, developing insights,
    highlighting gaps and developing implementable solutions.
  • Whatever else is needed to deliver results!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent (minimum).
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience managing client relationships.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ programme and project management experience.
  • Proven expertise in managing multiple stakeholders at various levels.
  • Demonstrated talent for forming and leading partnerships between diverse stakeholders
    working toward a common goal.
